Xylomania! Music Workshops for Kids is a five-day program in St. Louis, Missouri, which provides children an exciting opportunity to explore creative artistry through speech, poetry, songs, games, movement, and the use of instruments.
Xylomania! is based upon the Orff-Schulwerk approach.
What is Orff-Schulwerk? Orff-Schulwerk is a child-centered approach which makes use of children's affinities for moving, singing, and improvised play. Based on the work of Carl Orff and Gunild Keetman, Orff-Schulwerk builds musical concepts and skills through speech, poetry, songs, games, movement and the use of Orff instruments (xylophones, metallophones, glockenspiels, drums, unpitched percussion and MORE!)
